Mission & Philosophy
The Union County Educational Services Commission (UCESC), established in June 1969, is a public school district that provides specialized educational programs and solutions in response to the needs of students in Union County and beyond.
Our schools and programs provide services for students with autism spectrum disorders, multiple disabilities, emotional & behavioral disabilities, transition services, as well as an alternative high school option for students from Elizabeth. UCESC provides educational services to students in hospital settings at Trinitas Regional Medical Center and Children’s Specialized Hospital. Basic skills and supplemental instruction are offered to students who attend non-public schools throughout Union County. Extensive transportation services to all the school districts throughout Union County are provided.
