Child Study Team Services
Child Study Team Services are provided by ten interdisciplinary teams consisting of LDTC's, social workers, and psychologists. They evaluate and classify all of the students in the nonpublic schools in Union County. The students that are found eligible are given an Individual Service Plan. Some of the services they may receive through 192/193 and IDEA-B are occupational, physical or speech therapy, and/or assistive technology. Our speech therapists, occupational therapists, and physical therapists make tremendous gains with our students in a consistent and continuous manor.
Examination and Classification refers the student to the child study team which evaluates the student for learning problems. The child is evaluated educationally, psychologically and socially. If the team determines a learning problem, an Individual Service Plan (ISP) is developed, which provides goals and objectives to assist the child’s teachers. Parents are involved throughout this process.
