Nursing

The nonpublic school nursing program provides basic nursing services for students attending nonpublic schools. The Commission nurses provide the following health services:

• Reviewing immunization records and ensuring all students are properly immunized
• Conducting screenings for hearing, vision, scoliosis, height and weight
• Maintaining student health records
• Assisting with physical exams
• Caring for sick and injured students and administering medications (under a physician’s order) while in the school
